Organisation profile:

LA composite s. r. o. is based in Prague, Czech Republic. LA composite Ltd. was established in 1995 as joining venture between companies LETOV and ATG. Letov was founded in 1918. ATG had made decision to buy the part of LETOV in 2001. In the same time the company change name to LA composite. LAC develops and produces composite and sandwich structures for 4 main markets: Aviation, mass transport devices, medical applications and general industry applications. Development department is able to perform complete design including 3D modeling, FEM analysis and preparation of production processes. Production is based on prepregs and autoclave, smaller part of the production is based on Low cost technologies: vacuum infusion and resin film infusion. Our quality system meets various aircraft standards (including JAR 21 subpart G and EN ISO 9100). The company has recently 56 employees, including 10 university graduated.

Role in the project:

LAC will act as an industrial partner for WP5 with participation on each WP except WP6 and WP7. Main topics will be: contribution to the specification of structures and their typical defects, cooperation in definition of requirements on NDT methods, design and production of structures with and without typical artificial defects, comparison between results obtain by novel techniques evaluated in project with standard Ultrasonic NDT methods.
