Non-contact ultrasonics, thermography and IR-spectroscopy

In the multi-firm project 1.2 applications of non-contact ultrasonics, thermography and IR-spectroscopy on different heterogenic products are developed.
The aim is to develop and advance methods for subsurface defect detection, which have the potential to be used directly in the production process (in-line quality control). Of particular interest are the detection of subsurface defects and the characterization of thin layers by Non-contact Ultrasonics, Thermography and IR-spectroscopy. Moreover, these methods should help to characterize mechanical properties of materials and components.
