FH OÖ Forschungs & Entwicklungs GmbH

The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (FH OÖ) offers degree programmes as well as results of different fields of R&D. As one of four faculties of FHOÖ, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria – Campus Wels (www.fh-wels.at) was founded in 1994, focusing on Automation of Complex Mechatronic Systems, Testing and Processing of Materials, Eco-Energy and Environmental Engineering as well as Measurement and Testing Technology. 

For organizational reasons the FH OÖ group consists of 5 companies which vary in their core competences. The FH OÖ Forschungs & Entwicklungs GmbH is entrusted with the execution of all R&D projects. All research associates, junior researchers and senior researchers at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria are exclusively employed by the FH OÖ Forschungs & Entwicklungs GmbH. FH OÖ Forschungs & Entwicklungs GmbH is in 100% ownership of the FH OÖ Management GmbH holding company. As stated in the company registers FHW is a non-profit-organization and does not generate any profit from its activities.

The research group “X-ray computed tomography” (www.3dct.at) which is mainly involved in the NanoXCT project was founded in 2005 and consists of 4 professors and 12 research assistants. 

 

Funding

The project NanoXCT receives funding from the European Union Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement n° 280987.

NanoXCT success story

A success story on the NanoXCT project has been published on the EC's Horizon 2020 website, in the Projects stories section, titled "Peering into nano-objects – in 3D".

 

NanoXCT presented at AAAS 2015 in San Jose, CA, USA

 The NanoXCT project will be presented at the AAAS 2015 Annual Meeting about Innovations, Information and Imaging in San Jose, CA, USA.

The project coordinator will present NanoXCT within the session "I see, therefore I can" on Friday, 13 February 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM in Room 230C of the San Jose Convention Center.
