Within the context of networking and exchanging experiences with other projects towards joining efforts and maximizing exploitation potentials, the QUICOM consortium seeks to communicate with relevant consortia towards identifying areas and opportunities where for interaction, exchange of information and mutual benefit.

Promo-Air-final

In the frame of disseminating QUICOM research achievements in a different audience, QUICOM Consortium collaborates with the Promo – Air project.

The Promo – Air project aims at increasing the interest of young Europeans towards scientific and technical studies in the field of Aeronautics and Air Transport through educational visual material from FP7 projects. Through the initiative of Promo-Air project, more students will realize how interesting careers in aeronautics and air transport are.

The QUICOM project will make available to the PROMO-AIR project videos, animations and technical drawings that could be transformed into educational material; thus, promoting the project to a younger than usual target group. The QUICOM consortium, after being invited by the Promo-Air coordinator, has agreed to take part in this initiative along with other EU-funded projects like SARISTU, ALICIA, OPENAIR, HAIC, HIKARI, and more.

cappadocia logoCost-efficiency is one of the main QUICOM objectives. In particular, QUICOM aims to introduce reduction of the development costs of complex and large composite structures by 10% and reduction of the weight of the parts inspected with the QUICOM technology platform to 95%, while it is also expected that QUICOM will cut the time to market thanks to the reduction of expensive and time consuming mechanical testing.

Following the above, a collaboration has been established between QUICOM and the CAPPADOCIA project, a Coordination and Support Action funded by the European Commission under FP7, focusing on research activities contributing to the achievements of the SRIA goal regarding cost efficiency in Aeronautics and Air Transport.

QUICOM supports CAPPADOCIA through the provision of public results and information with regards to the cost-efficiency impact achieved within the QUICOM project.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme for research,
technological development and demonstration under grant agreement n° 314562.
