Concept

The NanoXCT facilitates a fully 3D, nondestructive, structural and chemical characterization of internal and external features in the nano-scale by applying a combination of two techniques: X-ray computed tomography and X-ray fluorescence. 

All components will be included in a laboratory scale NanoXCT demonstrator, which consists of a laboratory device demonstration system and a software demonstrator including all developed algorithms regarding the structural and chemical characterization of internal and external features in the nano ‐ scale. The determination of chemical composition and material properties will be accomplished by combining two methods: multi energy XCT and X‐ray fluorescence. The 3D structure will be analyzed and reconstructed in details using laboratory 3D X‐ray computed tomography (XCT).

NanoXCT presented at AAAS 2015 in San Jose, CA, USA

 The NanoXCT project will be presented at the AAAS 2015 Annual Meeting about Innovations, Information and Imaging in San Jose, CA, USA.

The project coordinator will present NanoXCT within the session "I see, therefore I can" on Friday, 13 February 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM in Room 230C of the San Jose Convention Center.
