FACC AG is the leading Austrian company in design, manufacture and service of advanced composite products for the aerospace industry. The company which was founded in 1989 as a subsidiary of Fischer Ski-Tennis GmbH (famous sporting goods producer) has reached within a few years the status of a first-tier manufacturer to the international industry. FACC excels in its role as a systems integrator and covers the entire value added chain of modern supply production - from conception to design, including static engineering and qualification, to tool design and manufacturing and full serial production. Thanks to its know-how and technical expertise in the field of advanced composite components and aviation, FACC has become a privileged partner to the world's leading airframe and engine manufacturers and their first line subcontractors. Some of the main partners of FACC are: Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, Embraer, ACAC, EADS, Eurocopter, Pratt & Whitney, and Rolls-Royce. Major products are structural components, e.g., engine nacelles or fairings as well as complete interiors of commercial airplanes. Most of the parts are made of sandwich construction according to the latest technology and highest quality standards and are delivered ready for installation to all major airplane producers like Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, etc.

Role in the project:

FACC will contribute to WP 3, 5, 6. In more details, FACC will contribute in the specification of requirements in the definition, preparation and provision of test samples, and also in reference testing using conventional aeronautic NDT methods, e.g., ultrasonic testing or wet chemical analysis.
